Summary "Environmental Refugees"

All countries, even though other cities in the same country, cannot be able to help refugees who have had to leave their cities or countries of origin, attributed to the natural disaster. The weather has been changing for worse in the last century. As Handwerk (2004) shows, “over the last million years, earth has fluctuated between colder and warmer periods.” This change is bringing a lot of natural disaster; as a result, many people are becoming refugees or homeless. The refugees are moving in their own country but inappropriately to poor cities; for example, Kakissis shows “for migrants displaced because of the environmental, Bangladesh hopes to begin helping them find opportunities in cities other than Dhaka.” Not all countries have the financial opportunity for help the refugees because they may be poor than the city or country which have the natural disaster. If the refugee moves to other poor cities, they must have a worse style of life than they had in their home city. It is important that both governments which have a better economic situation, and international organizations help put the lives of refugees in order so that they can defend themselves. For example, Kakissis explains “The International Center for Climate Change and Development, an institute base just outside of Dhaka and aimed at helping vulnerable countries came up with practical ways to adapt to climate change.” In conclusion, a contribution to the well-being of humanity is that the countries most benefited and international organizations help the neediest, giving them tools to cope with the losses and additionally that they can developed by themselves and move forward without being a constant burden for governments.
